Under ConstructionWindows was first released independently in November 20, 1985. At first Windows as ver. 1.0 lacked popularity, as it wasn't very well user friendly. Version 2 came out on December 9, 1987 it was proved slightly more popular than it's predecessor. It wasn't until the version 3.0 released when it became a success. 3.0 was later released with multimedia extensions that allowed it to use later MMX technology. When Windows 3.1/NT released it introduced a new filesystem for hard drives, NTFS, was more powerful than its FAT32 sibling, which allows it to be faster and more secure. In fact NTFS is used on current day Microsoft operating systems. Windows 95, codenamed Chicago, was introduced for 32-bit architecture, allowing a more powerful computer with larger amounts of RAM. Windows 98 was an improved version of 95, which allowed 2GB partitions. After that followed Windows 2000/ME/XP/Vista which are the newer versions of Windows that some people still use today.

Under ConstructionBill Gates didn't actually invent the computer, him and his clique improved upon the way the computer worked and improved the coding by constructing creative ideas of doing so. Before Gates was interested in computers there was already computers and the BASIC coding set used by beginner programmers. With BASIC you could do a code such as 10 PRINT 2+2 and it would appear on the screen as "4 TIME:0 SECS". Gates and his clique mastered this coding language.

Under ConstructionWhen Gates was young he had some of the same hobbies that your average high-schooler would have. He enjoyed activities such as water-skiing, talking about politics and sports, and enjoying computer time. When he became fascinated with computers he devoted more and more of his time with computers. When Gates got older he was invited to work with a big computer assignment that he would devote days in a row of his time to make the programming work properly.
